What is NanoDo?
NanoDo is a minimalist to-do app for iPhone. Each morning you pick three things and check them off from your lock screen widget and Live Activity, without opening the app.
Is NanoDo free?
The full daily ritual is free, and complete on one device: three things a day (up to five), the widgets, quick capture, smart reminders and light or dark. Pro is a one-time €6.99 purchase that adds sync across your devices, personalised widgets and colours, the Live Activity focus task, private mode and the week and month review. There is no subscription.
Is Pro a subscription?
No. Pro is a one-time purchase. You pay once and keep it, forever.
Do I need an account?
No. NanoDo has no account and no login. Your tasks live on your iPhone, in your own private iCloud if you use it, and nothing is ever stored on a server of ours.
Does NanoDo collect my data?
No. NanoDo's privacy label is Data Not Collected. There is no third-party advertising or tracking; your tasks stay on your device and in your private iCloud.
Can I really check tasks off without opening the app?
Yes. The interactive widget, and with Pro the lock-screen Live Activity, let you tick tasks off in place. You rarely open the app itself.
Why only three tasks?
The limit is the point. Three things you can finish beat a long list you avoid. Three is the hero, but you can gently go up to five when you need to, on the free version and Pro alike.
Which devices does NanoDo work on?
iPhone, iPad and Mac, from iOS 18 and the matching iPadOS and macOS. Apple Watch is planned for a later update.
When does NanoDo launch?
NanoDo is coming to the App Store. It is not out yet; this site is here early so it is ready when the app is.

Getting started

Pick your three
The first time each day, NanoDo asks “Your three for today?” Type them or pick from your inbox. Three is the hero; you can gently go up to five.
Capture without friction
Add a task from the app, the Action Button, Siri or Shortcuts, Control Center, your voice (on-device), or the share sheet from another app. Everything you capture lands in your inbox, never silently on today.

The widget and lock screen

The widget is the product
Put it on your Home Screen and lock screen. Press and hold, choose “Edit Widget”, and set what it shows (your tasks or just your focus), the background (paper, tinted, transparent) and the accent.
Check off without the app
Tap your Home Screen widget or the Dynamic Island and the app stays closed. On the lock screen you check off through the Live Activity.

Your focus task sits on the lock screen and in the Dynamic Island, ready to check off. StandBy and every widget size work too.

Smart dates and reminders

Type a date
Write “tomorrow 3pm” or “Friday” in a task and NanoDo turns it into a reminder (with no time it becomes 9:00). The date word leaves the title, because it now lives in the reminder.
One tap to undo
Tap the ✕ in the chip and the reminder is dropped; your task stays exactly as you typed it.
A reminder is not a day plan
A reminder is a notification at a time. The task stays in your inbox with a bell; you give it a day yourself.
Notification actions
Check a reminder off or snooze it (10 minutes) straight from the notification.
Alarm
Mark the task you really cannot miss as an alarm; it keeps sounding until you check it off. Up to two at once.

Inbox and planning

Inbox vs Scheduled
Inbox is tasks with no day yet (still to plan). Scheduled is tasks with a day. “+ Today” lifts something into your three for today.
Nothing moves on its own
Unfinished tasks stay put and never roll over unasked; you carry them yourself.
Move a task
Send it to today, tomorrow, another day, or back to the inbox.
Plan ahead in the evening
From the evening onward you can set up tomorrow.

Personalisation

Pick your accent from ten; the calm base stays and the accent follows everywhere, including the widget.
App iconsPro
Give NanoDo the accent colour you want on your Home Screen.
Light or dark
Follow the system or choose yourself, in Settings. Free.
Sounds
Pick a soft check-off sound (off by default). Free.

Private modePro
Give a task a cover name; it shows on the widget, Live Activity and notifications, while the real title stays behind Face ID.

Week and monthPro
A calm summary: checked off, days won, your best streak, shareable as a card.
Month journalPro
Keep or share a calm PDF of everything you finished that month, ordered by day. Private tasks stay hidden.

Import and backup

Import
Paste a list (each line becomes an inbox task, and dates are recognised) or bring tasks over from Apple Reminders. Everything lands in your inbox.
Backup
Export a JSON backup (restorable) or a CSV (to view only).

Pro and purchase

What Pro is
One one-time purchase of €6.99, no subscription, that unlocks sync across your devices, personalisation (widgets, colours, app icons), the Live Activity, private mode and the review extras. The free version is complete on one device.
Restore
Bought it on another device? Restore your purchase in Settings.

Privacy and account

No account
You do not sign up for anything.
Data not collected
NanoDo does not collect your data; everything is processed on-device.

Troubleshooting

The widget does not refresh
Press and hold it, then remove and re-add it. After an update that made the widget configurable, you need to place it once more.
Is my task gone?
No. NanoDo never moves or deletes anything on its own; unfinished tasks stay until you carry them over or delete them.
Voice does not work
On-device voice depends on your language setting; if your language is not available locally, just type (it never goes through a server).
A reminder did not arrive
Check that you allowed notifications for NanoDo.
